Bunadlykke

Hurra!

(ja, jeg vet det er 16. mai)

Men HURRA!

Right on time

I just want you all to take a look at that time stamp. I have never been more on time… You said the dead line was 15. May, 2012, at 23:59:59?

“High genetic variation in the boreal forest moss Hylocomium splendens through its distribution range”

Two years’ work in 20 pages.

Next stop, oral exam in June.

You know the deadline is close when…

you leave the office at 21.15 a Saturday night and feel like you left the office early. Three days left now. I haven’t really exercised the last two weeks and I am actually looking forward to it, maybe for the first time in my life. I will be happy when it’s over.

Also, I can’t wait to have two days of “weekend” next week. Wednesday and Thursday are officially spare time. I will buy myself something pretty, I will go for a run and I will party. (But after that I have to start study for my last exam and start applying for jobs)

Flowers

I don’t know how, but I keep finding new blogs. This time: The house that Lars buildt. It’s a bit of everything, but mostly flowers and interiour design. I have never been interested in interiour design, but I think the fact that I will move somewhere this autumn have something to do with it….

Bears and instagram

I now have instagram. I haven’t really grasped how it works outside my phone, but maybe it doesn’t. Anyhow, I’m Bulldozerborg and this was my first pic

We had bears for breakfast yesterday. Erik finds the weirdest things on the internet, but if it results in pancakes for breakfast, it’s ok 🙂

And again!

As you know, Erik and I spent a weekend at Britannia hotel here in Trondheim a week ago. We had paid a little extra for our room because we intended to spend a lot of time there, but the room wasn’t that nice and we were a bit disappointed. We made a long list of all the things that were missing or bad in our room and went down first thing to report them. They couldn’t do anything about almost any of it, so we repeated it when we checked out, because we thought we might get a discount. We didn’t get a discount, but we got a free pass to the Spa 🙂 The Spa was the best thing in the whole hotel so we are very pleased.

See you soon, Britannia!

Overraskelse!

🙂  Noen ganger så får jeg blomster når Erik har vært ute og jogget. Veldig fint med overraskelser når man har vært flink og sittet på kontoret hele dagen. Takk!

Focus

There is one week left and right now everything is working out fine. Yesterday’s smart trick was to work in 25 + intervals. 25 minutes of work, 5 minutes brake and then back to work. As long as you remember to eat and talk to nice people in your brakes, it works like charm. How I manage to get back to work after brakes? Watch something medium exiting on net-TV in the brakes.

I found this picture on the internet and was pleased that I already to a lot of these things. But the hardest part is not to make smart rules, but to follow them…

Hugs, Ingeborg

Life part 2.3.6

Ok, so today there are exactly 14 days left until the deadline of my master project.

TWO WEEKS!!

This is the most important thing I have ever done. Nothing has defined my future like this project will. And yes, I know that you can do anything, that I shape my own future and that this is just one piece in the puzzle, but this is also one of the most important opportunities I have to succeed in academia.

This weekend was my last two days off before May 15. I might have a beer and I might go see G7 at Avant Garden, and I most definitely will continue exercising three days a week, but other than that I spend 14 hours in the office every day.

Worst part? I am actually a bit thrilled. This is exhiting!

Hugs

Frida

Anbefales!

Veldig bra deit på lørdag 🙂

Look what I found!

Ok, so, I have to admit that Cakewrecks is the funniest blog I read. They not only show beautiful and terrible cakes, they write funny too. And here is (another) weddingcake, but this time with a 2CV! Pretty, isn’t it?

PS: yes, I am back in the office already. Will blog more of the amazing weekend at Britannia later 🙂

Hotel

Right now I am at Britannia hotel here in Trondheim. Why? Because Erik and I are escaping real life and spending the weekend in a nice hotel, alone. We realised that we needed some time alone and that we really didn’t need to go to another city to do just that. So then we ended up packing a suitcase and going across town instead. We saved time and money not travelling and now we will just enjoy the SPA, the wonderful breakfasts and each others’ company.

It will be a weekend of champagne, good food, board games and fun.

PS: we have been super cultural lately, I just haven’t had the time to blog about it. Theatre and concerts 🙂

Shopping!

I finally had time for some shopping. I have been longing for a lighter jacket and a new pair of everyday shoes for a while and yesterday, in a “I hate you master thesis”-frenzy I went out and bought what I needed.

I might have pictures later, but here are the pics from the manufacturers:

First this lovely dark blue/black parka from Weekday. It is light and almost silk-like in texture and just the right length for windy, but quite warm Trondheim.

Shoes 🙂 The colour is a bit lighter and the soles are light brown, but still. Plain, man-shoes from Vagabond for not warm enough, but not cold weather. Will probably be worn until I stop wearing tights (and probably after that too).

Happy 🙂

Moar pictures

I think wordpress has started talking with my phone again, therefore:

Very funny title for a master presentation on grasses in Niquaragua

I <3 Bergdis

I have this wonderful friend, Bergdis, she is from Iceland and makes the most beautiful creations. She has started a small business called Dis by Bergdis (you will find it on Facebook).

I bought two sets of her earrings before Christmas and gave one pair to my mom 🙂

She uses an old fashioned technique that was used to make tablecloths and such, but she uses it to produce the most amazing jewelry. Just look!

I kept the yellow ones for myself 🙂
