Skoleveien min

New years’ eve!

New Years Eve!

Finally! (and in reverse order, but I can’t be bothered to change it)

Yes, we are the cutest couple on the planet.

Road trip!

Good news! Erik and I are going to Italy on a road trip this Easter 🙂 We have now even bought the tickets, so now it is definitely happening. I can’t wait to go. There is nothing better that travelling with Erik and I am looking forward to spending ten days in romantic Tuscany with him. There will probably be a lot of what we did when we went to Uppsala for my interview in September last year.

Troppstur

This summer

In the middle of master thesises (is that really the plural?), moving, travelling and not having my own coputer, I have realized that I never actually posted pictures. I have therefore decided that I will have some regular updates with real (and good) photoes.

As I might have said this summer, I was, for the first time, the fastest of the four of us. That meant that I had time to stop and photograph on every hill top. So here is a selection of (mostlyl) close up nature.

Every day I look at pictures from warm, sunny, pretty places and every day I wish that I could find something for Erik and myself to do there. I realise that I will have to travel at one time. Not just weekends or weeks, but months and years.

But for now I am happy in Oslo with my friends and job. I have to finish this PhD first anyway.

Wok

Erik has a tradition wok party during Christmas, just so everyone can get away from the Christmas food for a night. Here are som pictures from this year’s party.

Scouts on their way to Speidertinget 2012

Yes, I did take couple of shots of people as well. Here they are!

This guy had come all the way from Malawi and the Scout Association of Malawi (SAM) to learn about how we do democracy in NSF. It’s always good to get some new impulses 🙂

This is Arne, the former leader of the programme comittee. Now he enjoys the peaceful life with his scout group back home.

The girl in grey is wonderful Kathrine, she is also in the programme committee. After we have gotten a lot of new members in the committee the last couple of months, she is the only one who has been a member longer than I have. She works really hard and is terribly good at what she does and very funny.

Cool Thea out in the wind. She is now in our national board, deciding important stuff.

Love this pic. And love the mechanism that keeps Vilde’s hood close to her head. Just perfect out on deck.

Straight ahead!

Suddenly finally the sun came out and the light was just fantastic.

Vilde is part of the group organizing Roverløft this spring. I am supervising them and will come visit in Tønsberg next weekend when they have their first meeting.

After this picture, we walked up to the hotel and after that, I spent the rest of the weekend inside. The service at the hotel was not the best, but Geiranger was truly beautiful. I am coming back when it’s greener and I have a new tent. Need to camp on one of those hills, just to wake up to that spectacular view.

Shadows

There was suddenly sunshine the other day and I took some pictures to show it. The funny thing is that when there is more light, you see less of my face.

Geiranger

As you might remember, I went to Geiranger for the annual general assembly of the Norwegian Guide and Scout Association. I did take som pictures with the good camera, but only on our way in the fjord on Friday. Anyway, here are som scenic pictures of one of Norway’s biggest tourist attractions – off season.

This was the view from our hotel. Imagine living here.

The church gate

When the palce is small, everyone i buried just around the church, so a walk through the graveyard is like awalk through history.

What do you call this? Hilly? Hillyl +?

Sunday walk

I really like Bjølsen and Sagene. It’s calm and peaceful, but also urban and close to everything else. We did a little walk in our neighbourhood our first Sunday here, to see what we had actually moved into.

It was cold and sunny, so the ground had thawed just where the sun was shining.

Walking!

Autumn is my favorite season. Who can resist all those golden leaves?

Sagene church, quite pretty in the sun.

Someone’s back yard

The Turkish grosery store at Advokat Dehlis plass. They have got the best variation and quality in greens I have ever seen. Love it!

I especially love that they have a lot of greens I have never seen og heard of before. We have already tried a couple of new ones 🙂

Then we went to Mat og mer. We didn’t buy lunch, but we bought some cheese 🙂

Sunny Thursday

It’s yet again been a while since I posted pictures from my actual camera. After I got the message that I was given the chance to do a PhD I went out in the sunshine to celebrate. So here is one frosty leaf and my very nice neighbourhood.

Pretty instagram

I’m back in Oslo, it has been snowing, we did a crazy raid at IKEA yesterday and I’m going to Ås twice this week. Oh, and two concerts! Because of all this craziness, here is some pretty Instagram pictures.

And btw, during the weekend I finally caved in and got myself a Twitter account, so comment if you want me to read your tweets.
